Mike brings a broad range of professional experience having worked in the fields of agriculture, banking, insurance, law, and planned giving. After a successful career in the insurance industry, he obtained a law degree and practiced law in Florida in the areas of civil litigation, administrative law, business law, elder law, and estate planning.
Mike has worked as a planned giving specialist for over a decade and enjoys using his background and training to teach others about planned giving concepts and assisting donors to be strategic about reaching their charitable giving goals. During the pandemic, he has been the featured presenter on several webinars regarding the implications of the CARES Act on charitable giving and other planned giving concepts. Mike concentrates his efforts on highlighting the benefits of making charitable gifts of non-cash assets with a focus on gifts of real estate. He and his wife LaNita live in Lakeland, FL.
